» Credentials Amanda is a University of South Australia graduate and has worked in high level administration roles all her working life. She has worked for fast growing SMEs with tight cashflows, large corporations both in remote areas and in the city, as well as the government with some of South Australia's leading goverment bodies, including the South Australian Museum and the Office of the Premier. Through-out her career, Amanda has called upon her extensive organisation skills, coupled with her keen sense of judgement and initiative to establish herself as an integral part of each organisation. She is an out of the box thinker and is passionate about ensuring that her clients receive the best possible service.
» What inspired the business idea for Every Day PA? I was working in a busy Ministerial Office and spent most of my lunch breaks desperately trying to cross things off my personal to-do list. On top of that, I was taking time out from work to liaise with tradespeople to get work done on my home. Then I noticed that many of my colleagues were doing the same thing. What we needed was a PA of our own, someone who could get through out to-do lists far more efficiently than we could, allowing us to concentrate on what was important to us. Who knows, without an endless list of things to do, we might even find time to eat lunch during our lunch break! That's what inspired the Every Day PA business idea and what drives the business every day.
» How do you balance work and relaxation needs? By owning my own business I can work and relax when I want to. I am not tied into any set or core hours of work. As long as I am there when my clients need me and I get my work done then my time is my own. I love my life! Also, travelling to places I have never been before and exploring, reading and watching films are a favourite way to relax away from business. |
Nicole Gow: Lifestyle Assistant

» Credentials Her friendly personality, attention to detail and great organisational skills are why Nicole is so great at being a Lifestyle Assistant. Before Every Day PA , Nicole spent 12 years at Arnotts as their SA and NT Sales Co-ordinator. Here, she performed a variety of tasks, including budgeting, organizing functions, booking flights and accommodation, purchasing gifts... and so much more. She has also worked as a PA for a Company Director in Adelaide, where she developed skills that are essential to a Lifestyle Assistant, such as creating and implementing new systems and re-organising complete filing systems. Reliable and trustworthy, Nicole has all of the skills and personal attributes that you would want from someone helping you get more out of your personal life. She has been a part of the team since 2007.
» How do you manage work/life balance? I am fortunate enough to work 2-3 days a week, which allows me to maintain a reasonably good work/life balance. When I am not working, I take care of my family, try to spend a little time by myself and squeeze in the occasional weekend away from my husband. I enjoy going to the movies and taking holidays, whether it's a frantic shopping holiday in Asia, or a family fishing trip. I don't work myself into the ground, because it's too hard to get out. I love being able to maintain a balanced life, and I love working with Amanda. She keeps me focused as much as I keep her on track. We work very well together. |
